Who were my clients? What do I need to say to get them to be my clients?
When I first started in web design after years as a graphic designer‚ I thought all I needed to do was bring design to the web. Back then and still today you see a lot of bad looking site. But I discovered this was not enough to create the kind of business I wanted. What should I do? How do I create the business I want? I found the answer in a few coaches I started following online‚ then in person. I learned to write the way I think & talk. In other words be me. I learned the best way to grow a business is to get clients to come to me. Who wouldn’t want that! I learned how to define who my “ideal client” is. What problem I solve for them. What I do differently than other web designers and how that benefits my “ideal client”. Because the benefits for my “ideal client” is what this is all about.
As I was learning all this for myself & my web design business. I realized that it was exactly what my web design clients needed to grow their businesses. What I was learning I could use to create websites that are truly marketing tool for their businesses. I share what is going to help your business grow & thrive. I work with my clients to help them know who their “ideal client” is‚ what problem they solve for them and what they do differently to benefit their “ideal client”. I learned that what you say on your website is the most important part of your website. I work with my clients to help them understand what they need to say. It’s not easy to get this message right. Working together we narrow down and dig to understand what their “ideal client” is looking for and how they are the best person to solve that problem. After we do that then‚ I create great looking websites with a purpose. That purpose is to bring your “ideal client” to you! Why let the second best marketing tool you have‚ you’re the first‚ go to waste? Let’s make it a site that really “speaks” to your “ideal client” and tells them who you are and what they need to know to become your client!

I love design!
I think that I always loved design. I’m always moving something into the “right” spot. It’s about all the elements placed in the “right” spot that makes a great design. It’s the ability to understand the content‚ what’s important‚ what makes a good headline‚ what content needs to be a called out for extra attention. It’s adding attention-grabbing graphics. All these elements together make up what I believe makes up a great design. I take a lot of satisfaction in a project that comes together‚ looks great and the message is clear.
It all started with my first drawing of a cat that my mother saved. I studied art with a major in Graphic Design. I’ve worked in Boston in studios around the city learning as much as I could but I always needed to work & live in New York City so back I came. Again I worked in various studios around the city. I worked in different industries‚ advertising‚ insurance‚ finance and magazine promotion for publications like Cosmopolitan and Travel & Leasure. Back to New Jersey and more magazine promotion for trade magazines. Then I started S. Best Designs and have done some of everything! Still doing a lot of graphic design but now love web design too!
